Hey Big Spenda

Saturday night we had the distinct pleasure of attending The Duluth Playhouse's Fundraiser Gala with a "roaring 20's casino night" theme. It was a blast in every way, shape & form and turned out to be one of the most fun out-on-the-town nights we've had in a long time.

Golly!

The Duluth Playhouse's Fundraiser Gala ~ Roaring 20's Casino Night was as gorgeous as it was fun. Here are just a few of the several amazing interpretations of the dare to dress as well as some highlights of the stylish event overall.

Peachy Keen {leftover} Jelly Bean

It snowed. $%^&! I just...hold on...let me check...yup, it is April. Amazing.

No, it's not unheard of. No, that doesn't make it any easier. I couldn't wear my shoes for the pictures because they were covered with mud. From the snow.

I dressed to match the climate; basically drab but wrapped in the optimism of spring.

Between the lingering winter conditions and all-too-familiar post-Easter leftover jelly bean remorse, my internal calender has no idea what season it is.

Weekend Wonderment

Another joyous weekend... we saw Renegade Theatre's production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore on Saturday night at the Teatro Zuccone. Anyone in the area who has not seen this darkly hilarious piece of entertainment should absolutely see it. It was great. This is what I wore to the show. P said I looked like an IRA wife. I also suped up this hat with a few baubles before donning it on Sat. night. Just for funsies. dress: The Electric Fetus, cardigan & hat {embellishments by me}: Forever21, tank: Mossimo {a gajillion years old}, tights: We Love Colors, knee-highs: Target, earrings: Very Bloggy Beth, cowgirl boots: Vintage Duluth, nail polish: Essie ~ Nice is nice. photos by Peanut.

The Other Sara

Last weekend, Peanut surprised me with tickets to see Sara Bareilles! I went with a pal and enjoyed the vocal stylings of the beautiful, funny, super talented and all-around charming performer. It was lovely. tank: decree, cardigan: Merona, cutoffs: refuge, tights: Target, flats: Rocket Dog, necklace: vintage, thrifted, nail polish: Sally Hanson Salon Series ~ Plum's the Word. photos by Peanut.

::Eighteen=of=Thirty::/{My 1st EBEW}

I have been hoping to jump on board with EveryBodyEveryWear {click on this link or the badge at the bottom of the post to learn more about it} since their first challenge, but it never worked out. Now that I visited the FAQ's and really figured out {aka read what was explained in plain, clear English} what the schedule is/how it works, I plan to participate as often as possible. You should too!I love this dress and I originally purchased it {on clearance} for a show that P & I did together a couple of years ago. I needed something breezy, feminine, colorful & just a little zany. Ding! I had eyed-up this bad boy for nearly a month and finally felt justified buying it. I have never looked back.

::Seventeen=of=Thirty::

I don't even care that I'm still working on the 30-for-30 -- I'm having a lot of fun this way. This outfit sort of came out of nowhere {as the last few combos have} and let me tell you, it feels very me. I'm surprised I hadn't come up with it sooner and you can be darned sure I'll be recycling another version of it again soon. I know it looks like autumn in these pics but it's actually spring and it's actually sublime. I am in the best mood/s ever in the last few day/s, despite normal weekly headaches {both physical & metaphorical}. Something about warm, breezy temps and sunshine just makes me kinda drunk.

I think they call that "high on life".
